Choose: Just gorillas, or gorillas plus hearts or plus stars. The hearts and stars are DIY, and need to be tied on yourself on arrival. You may choose the 'tied gorillas' and have the stars/hearts already tied on. The default color is red/pink for the heart and assorted rainbow colors for the stars. You may contact us when you place your order to request a different/specific color for the stars (or hearts). There is a notes box you can type into at checkout. Or, email us!
SIZE: 3 inches tall, about 3 inches wide.
With the DIY gorillas, hearts are loose in a packet, ready to be tied on. You'll need to let me know if you need a separate set of planting instructions for each gorilla. I will send you a pretty PDF template of several cards to a sheet so you can print out as many cards as you need. The template prints cards like those shown. It is free with your order of 12 or more gorillas. You must email us to request the PDF.
Gorillas that are 'tied' arrive with the hearts/stars already strung on. On orders of 100 or more gorillas, the color-printed individual instruction cards are also included for every gorilla. The cards have the We Support DFGF on the front and planting instructions on the back.

....... DIAN FOSSEY GORILLA FUND ........
The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund was created in the wake of the death of American primatologist Dian Fossey, who bravely embarked on the world's first long term study of the rare and endangered mountain gorillas until her her unsolved murder. Working in the remote mountains of Rwanda, she set about identifying gorilla social structure, nutrition, and habitat needs. She spent a considerable amount if time destroying poacher's snares to prevent gorilla hands and feet being caught in them. Her work continues today as the organization has grown to cover the cost of park ranger training, anti-poaching patrols, snare removal, and continued research on the mountain gorillas. Our handmade plantable gorillas have been included in the organization's fundraising packages. Our company, Recycled Ideas, donates 100% of the cost for this, including all sales of gorillas through our website. It is my hope that including plantables in the DGFG material will encourage people to plant, grow, and take ownership of their own local habitat for the betterment of all. Consider adopting a mama and baby gorilla through DFGF this year. Your investment in their future betters our fragile planet.
